A Japanese originated form of healing containing numerous definitions relating to universal life force. The “ki” inside the Japanese word Reiki parallels the “qi” within Chinese healing which is said to flow through the body meridians.
A Reiki session allows a client to lay fully-clothed on the table. The practitioner either lays hands on the body or maintains the hands a few inches above the body. The hands are placed in specific positions at targeted areas of the being for stimulating energetic flow. A client may feel warmth, vibrations or other sensations relating to the active life force contained within. At session end, clients are given water to support energy flow and hydration.
Reiki is complementary to any type of health regimen, chronic ailment or anxious response from the body.
